With Love, from Egypt
By Babette, Germany.
The Adventure Started in the Dark.
Our trip from Germany to Egypt started very early—or maybe very late, depending on how you look at it! We flew in the early morning hours while it was still dark outside. Even the flight became part of the holiday adventure.

Getting Around Egypt.
We tried a few different ways of getting around. There was a taxi from the airport and a bus when we wanted to go to the beach. Even an ordinary journey from one place to another gave us something new to see.

A Surprise Waiting in the Room.
Our hotel was nice, although some parts were a little outdated. What really stood out were the friendly and helpful staff. Every day, the towels in our room were turned into something different. We had a swan, a snake and other little surprises waiting for us.

A Room With a View.
Whatever we thought about the hotel itself, we couldn’t complain about the view. Looking out over the resort was one of those moments that really felt like being on holiday.

Days by the Sea.
Of course, we spent plenty of time at the beach. Warm weather, sand, palm trees and the sea — sometimes a holiday doesn’t need to be more complicated than that.

The Waterslide I Wasn’t Planning to Try.
The waterpark was much more popular with my husband and the kids, who tried almost every waterslide. I was quite happy not to join them. Somehow, though, my husband managed to trick me into trying one. That definitely wasn’t part of my original plan!

A Day on the Water.
One of our adventures took us out on a boat. We visited another island, spent time swimming in the sea and had the chance to go snorkelling. It was a completely different way to experience Egypt — this time from the water.

Dinner, Dancing and ABBA.
One evening we visited the sister hotel for dinner and discovered that it was also ABBA Night. So our evening became dinner and a show, with music added to the holiday menu. Egypt probably wasn’t where we expected to find ABBA, but holidays are full of surprises.
