Your Brain is a DJ, Play Happy Tunes!

Something that is pointed out to me a lot, is that I like to talk about mindset. And I truly believe your mind is the strongest organ in your body. When you are having a bad day, focus on the positive things. Yes, maybe it is easier said than done but give it a try.

“I can’t run 3kilometrs.” – Change your thoughts to I can do it, it is easy. You might be tired, sore and stiff the next day but believe me, you will do it and you will feel proud of yourself.

“I can’t follow this diet, how will I live without chocolate?” – Change your mindset to I can do this, I can follow this diet and I will lose weight, I will be rewarded with some chocolate later. And believe me you will be able to follow the silly diet.

“I don’t know who to fix this problem.” – Change your thoughts into, I have a problem but let me find a solutions or keep trying until I solve the problem. It might take a while to fix but in the end, you will solve the problem.

The moment you think negative thoughts, your brain and mind believes it, but when you are kind to yourself and think positively, things start looking up and turning out for the better.

When you listen to music the same thing happens. When you listen to sad music, you feel the emotions and you become sad and the whole world turns gloomy. When you listen to upbeat and positive music you start to feel the energy and it pushes you into a state of positivity, think of the bright, shining lights on the dancefloor. It is colourful and inviting. And this dancefloor becomes your playground instead of the dramatic and sad romantic movie.

Another example, thinking of Bruce’s comment during our Lunch meeting, “A bit of good news is that technology is working”. It could be your Wi-Fi connection, when the signal drops or the Wi-Fi turns off for a few second, we turn into frantic panicked beings, running around trying to fix it…

Why don’t we react the same when we feel sad or gloomy? Try to fix it as soon as possible and spread your happy little thoughts and positivity everywhere you go. Be your own DJ and play the happy tunes. Be the happy bunny you are meant to be!

The effect it has on you and everyone around you will be amazing.
